I wasn't interested in anything but Egypt this morning. The NYT was out with its steamroller. At a glance in all of these huge megaevents, the paper of record is overdone. You cannot make sense of events based on the bits and pieces that come out of a tumultuous breaking story. Even the biggest, fattest news organization cannot plop down and flatten and compress history, which may or may not be in making.

The main story was really well done, and impressive ... until you scoot over to Reuters and find out that they are simply faster and way more concise. I learned lots of facts without the heavy breathing of reporters trying to determine significance.
